SHANNON K - With music, in her soul. it was natural, that it would be core to her for future passion.

Recently turned 16 year-old “Shannon K” is daughter of Bollywood music legend Kumar Sanu (the “K” is an homage to her family and the legendary career of her father). Born in India, Shannon relocated to London at very young age, before moving to the United States to continue to pursue her singing and acting career in America.

Shannon first appeared onstage at the age of four, performing an Indian Classical Dance, during one of her dad’s concerts before an audience in the thousands. As a young child, she studied Kathak, the Indian classical dance form, where she received high honors; and also performed at the 2007 Bollywood Awards Night in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

While living in the UK, Shannon studied music at London’s Royal School of Music. Shannon has also performed live at the Warner Theatre, Washington DC and Sun National Bank Center in April 2016, Terrace Theatre Long Beach, Redondo Performance Arts centre before sold-out rooms. She performed in few Hollywood clubs like Peppermint, NeueHouse, StateSocial etc.

She was invited to perform National Anthem for American Legion Hollywood Post 43. She has appeared in interviews on BBC Asian Network Radio twice; and she was the youngest Artist of The Week for her original song,’ Just Another Boy’. She has also received the ‘Best Newcomer Award/2013-2014’ in the London Rolling Film Festival.

Apart from this, Shannon believes in serving good causes as well. She spends as much time as possible focused on a number of charitable causes and also donated her long hair for the “LITTLE PRINCESS “ cancer charity in UK .

Shannon's incredibly original musical style encompasses both UK and US pop with blues, soul and big voice-ballad (all along with a dash of Bollywood essence and al- lure) - one can’t help but see an irresistible and compelling combination in this unique artist’s styling.

Shannon’s Dad Kumar is the biggest and most profound influence in her young life and as an artist. Kumar, is one of the most decorated and award-winning vocalists in Bolly- wood history. He holds the Guinness Book world record for recording the most songs in a day (28 songs). He was awarded the Filmfare: Best Male Playback Singer Award for five consecutive years. And in 2009, the Government of India awarded him Padma Shri, In- dia's fourth highest civilian honor, in recognition of his achievements.

Constantly honoring her craft is her life’s focus, and now being based in Los Angeles offers a new chapter in this young singer/songwriter/actor’s life; and we are excited to share this adventure and her talent with the world.
